At Camel Uschi we offer an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and a setting to relax in the peace and tranquility of the Arabian desert.
Here on our farm, you will experience a desert evening – a moment suspended in time, rich in tradition and filled with quiet wonder.
An Evening in the Desert – Magic in Golden Light
As the afternoon sun sets the desert aglow, our Bedouin staff welcome guests to our camp with tea flavoured with traditional spices and Arabic sweets.
You meet our gentle camels, and learn more about their nature and way of life. Afterwards, you are invited to ride our camels along desert trails, guided and supervised by our expert camel handlers – far from the city’s rush, surrounded only by silence and sand.
Under the Stars – Where Tradition Meets Taste
Just with the sunset
In our Beit Sha’ar – a Bedouin handwoven goat hair tent, furnished with hand-made cushions and carpets, you’ll savour the sunset and a meal prepared before your eyes.
Meat and vegetables are cooked on an open fire, or as madfoun or mandi (methods of cooking in hot embers buried under the ground).
Each menu is created with care, using regional ingredients, some from our own organic garden.
Vegetarian options are always available.

A feast for the senses – with a broader menu of meats and vegetables, followed by the traditional coffee ceremony, preparing and serving 'qahwa' (Arabic coffee). Once a precious commodity, serving coffee to visitors was regarded as a sign of both generosity and wealth.
